The Stabbomancer has a focus on Critical Hits and has a number of skills bumping up melee speed, melee damage, and the chances of a melee attack being a Critical Hit/applying a status effect. If you're a player interested in melee damage, this pairing is a no-brainer. The Demi-Lich companion for the Graveborn also assists in this CC capacity, so you shouldn't get stuck in a pinch too often. The Brr-Zerker's melee capabilities can also help you crowd control if you get overwhelmed and are low on health/your spells aren't refreshed.
The Brr-Zerker is focused on Frost damage, enabling you to slow enemies and therefore making escape easier, but can also regenerate their health over time using the Unyielding skill.Ĭoupled with the Blood Frenzy skill, whereupon a kill you get a percentage of your health back, the downside of the Graveborn's life sacrifice can become more and more negligible as you progress further into the game. As such, you'll often be close to the brink of death as you skirt around the battlefield. The Graveborn is a powerful class focused on risk-reward gameplay, sacrificing health to perform powerful attacks. If you wish, you can choose Stabbomancer instead of Spore Warden due to their focus on Critical Hits but you will have to fight on the battlefield alone. Couple this with the Spore Warden's Bullseye skill, increasing Gun Critical Hit Chance, and you have a near-constant stream of spells at your disposal, and a reliable way of never having to manually reload your guns either. The War Caster skill added in allows for your guns to have a chance of being instantly reloaded upon getting a kill. This combination really begins to shine however once you max out the Spellshot tree, gaining the Sever the Thread skill, where Gun Critical Hits have a chance to instantly refresh all spells. This is where the Spore Warden's Mushroom Companion helps, inevitably drawing some aggro off of you and allowing you to regroup and refresh your spells. The Spellshot can be a difficult class to master, particularly if you accept the Glass Cannon skill. If you incorporate a Dark Magic Spell in your arsenal, you have access to all damage types from very early in the game. Their alternate Action Skill, Storm Dragon's Judgment, deals hefty Lightning damage.įor those keeping track, this combo subsequently enables you to cover 4 of the 5 damage types with just your Action Skills alone throw weapons in the mix and you've got a potent combination.
The Clawbringer on the other hand has the Cleansing Flames Action Skill that creates Fire Novas, and their Wyvern companion also breathes fire. Their Blizzard Action Skill enables them to create Frost Cyclones that control the battlefield. Spore Warden and their Mushroom companion naturally have a penchant for poison damage, particularly with skills like Spore Cloud. In the post-game however, you can head to the Quick Change Station in Brighthoof and swap it out to your heart's content, so experiment away at that stage. You won't be able to switch for the rest of the game. When the option to choose your secondary class becomes available partway into the game, consider carefully. Whilst most combinations are viable so long as you have a good weaponry/gear loadout, there are clear synergies between certain classes that can be capitalized on, playstyle dependent.
